Anode Rotary Furnace

Main purpose of anode rotary furnace is to remove residual sulfur and oxygen in blister produced by P-S converter or other copper converting furnace, which would otherwise combine into bubble in the copper during casting phase. The operation to achieve the target includes air-oxidation for sulfur removal and hydrocarbon-reduction for oxygen removal.
There are two subtype of anode furnace, rectangular or rotary. The latter one is used more widely in modern copper refining. In rotary anode furnace, main wearing factor is the corrosion and erosion of molten metal and slag, especially the infiltration of low-viscous copper oxide. Therefore magnesia-chrome brick is the first choice for wearing lining. Tuyere, burner, copper taphole and exhaust gas pipe are among all the most wearing part in anode furnace, therefore premium magnesia-chrome brick are recommended for these areas.
Yanmu's recommended refractory usage in anode furnace is summarized in the following table. For further products information please refer to previous chapter “Refractory Products Collection for Non-Ferrous Metallurgy”.
