Refractory Castable for Monolithic Steel Ladle

While magnesia-carbon brick is used extensively for bricked steel ladle, castable is the main refractory product to form the wearing lining at the sidewall and bottom of monolithic steel ladle (Mg-C brick for slag line).
 
Yanmu’s alumina-spinel castable is manufactured from white fused alumina, sintered tabular alumina and high-purity synthesized spinel, while superfine-powder-technique is applied and carefully formulated admixture is added during the production. It features high thermal strength, high resistance to slag corrosion and to steel infiltration. It is used typically for medium- or large-sized steel ladle over 100 tons.
 
High-alumina-spinel castable is manufactured from premium-sintered bauxite and synthesized spinel, while superfine-powder-technique is applied and carefully formulated admixture is added during the production. It features good resistance to slag corrosion, abrasion and thermal shock. It is typically used for medium- or small-seized steel ladle under 100 tons.
 
Combined with relining-technique, utilization of these two types of refractory castable has been proved very effective and environment friendly, since it significantly reduces the downtime, extend the service life of lining and reduce the refractory consumption per ton steel produced.
